Over the past couple of months, a strange new issue came up with site file downloads. Some visitors were getting redirected to the home page whenever they tried downloading something. I was hoping that a recent site update would fix the problem, but unfortunately, it didn’t.
All is not lost, however! A user came up with an easy work-around. If, for whatever reason, you keep getting bounced when downloading a file, try this: right click on the file link and choose “Save As.” Other solutions include: downloading with a different browser than the one you usually use, turning off ad blocking software or checking antivirus/security settings.
