Day Six of Eight Sim Challenge

It is now Day Six of the Challenge. Our test subjects seem to have finally grown accustomed to their bed-couches after several days and are no longer complaining about the discomforts of living under such strenuous conditions. Life in the house is getting better with each day of our experiment, despite a few mishaps in the beginning. However, even though I’m pleased with the way things are going, I know that there is a lot of work to still do. Torvald is still doing poorly in his career track (remaining stuck as a typesetter), so I’m really going to be pushing him to advance.

CASSIE: Er… maybe it would help if you got him a job that didn’t require him knowing the Simlish language!

TORVALD: Vhat?

CASSIE: Never mind!

As for Eleanor, I got her super well-rested last night, so she can get a nice, fat bonus and advancement in her military career later on today.

Day Six is really going to be about pushing the guys to excel and advance in their careers. So not only have I made sure to get Torvald and Eleanor well rested, I’ve made an extra effort to get some of the others to work on their skills. Here you can see Justin working on his creativity before going to work.

I’ve also bought an exercise machine (not pictured), because Michael, Cassie, and eventually Eleanor need body points to advance.

EMMA: Yeah! Besides, these guys could use the workout! Look at them! Yeeesh!

CASSIE: Look at us? Look at you, Flabarella!

EMMA: It’s baby fat!

MICHAEL: Okay, so how many babies did you eat to get that flabby?

GERALD: BWAHHH-HAHAHAHA!

EMMA: Oh, shut up!

As the day continues, Day Six is turning out to be another good day, in terms of promotions. Getting Eleanor nice and rested really paid off, because later in the day, she got a promotion, earning a 325 Simolean a day salary, plus a 650 Simolean bonus for the house. Torvald finally got a promotion as well, getting a salary raise to 200 and a 400 Simolean bonus as Game Reviewer. The Cash Balance jumped to 6, 029 by the time everyone returned home!

ELEANOR: Didn’t we start out with barely any money?

Yep! Only 340 Simoleans! =-)

EMMA: And now we have over 6K???

Yes, all thanks to your hard work. Although this study hit a few rough spots in the beginning, your efforts have really turned things around. Congratulations, guys– you should really be proud of yourself!

EMMA: Thanks!

MICHAEL: So is the study over yet?

Not quite. You still have a few days to go. But don’t worry– the best parts of the study are yet to come!

EMMA: Oooohhhh… I wonder what she meant by that.

Now that our study subjects are doing so well at this point, it’s becoming pointless and boring to keep doing a Daily Report on what’s happening, so let’s Fast Forward through the next couple of days with a few highlights tracking the progress of the study!
