Recap of Eight Sim Challenge

When creating your family, always have a few Virgos (Neat Freaks) to help keep things in order.

Build Small and Cheap
When building a house, build as small as you can, with the cheapest and fewest things that you can. You don’t even need beds or bedrooms– couches will do nicely. However, make sure you buy these essential items, to make the first few days as bearable as possible: sinks, fridge, telephone, food processor, bookcase, tables (for newspapers), television set, toilets (even if they are just PortaPotties), and garbage cans.

Give All Sims Jobs and Cooking Skills
On Move In Day, make sure most or all of your Sims get jobs and earn at least 2 cooking points.

Keep Sims in a Good Mood and Fulfilled
As the days progress, make your Sims as happy and comfortable as possible, so that they will earn major bonuses as they get promoted.

Have Sims Work Different Shifts
To keep things from getting hectic, have half your Sims work one shift, and half your Sims work another, so that they won’t be in each other’s hair all the time. If all your Sims wind up working more or less the same shift, then force some Sims to go to bed earlier than other Sims, so that the house wakes up in “waves.”

Use Early Birds as Cooks and Housekeepers
Make the Early Birds– Sims who usually wake up a little earlier than the others– cook for the other Sims in the morning and take care of chores.

Pay attention to how you can use everyone’s work schedules to your advantage. For example, if you notice that some Sims are alone for about two hours during the day, make that Sim take care of needs and clean up the house. If a Sim works the early morning shift, make him or her the house cook and have them always make breakfast for the others. If a Sim gets home earlier than the others because of his work schedule, make him cook dinner.

Always Give at Least One Sim a Military Job
In choosing jobs, never pass up the opportunity to get at least one Sim a military job, because it is one of the highest paying and requires no friends to advance for several levels.

And, last of all? The most important tip I can give you?

EMMA: Have fun!

Thanks! 🙂 That’s right! Have fun!
