RELEASE NOTES FOR 1.2:
This is San Marina 1.2, a slightly updated version for 1.0, which fixed the following:

	1. The Old Tyme Brewery, where the Haxxors live, was missing a callbox.
	2. The Poseidon Community Center was missing chairs for the drawing boards.
	3. Kim Mohr, who had on the wrong outfit for her career (an orange bathing suit). Her hair was also changed so she wouldn't look so much like Rebecca Dwyer.

If you have 1.0, you don't need to download 1.2. You can download the fixed lots here:

1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
==========================================================

San Marina is the largest city world yet by ts1depot, and it relies on three memory-hogging EPs: Showtime, Late Night and Island Paradise. Because of this, it's only recommended for mid-range to high end systems that can handle large worlds like Boroughsburg and Los Aniegos.

Minimum Specs:

	A. 3.6 gHz quadcore
 	B. 8GB RAM
	C. Nvidia 1030 GT or equivalent and higher
	D. Standard hard drive

Optimal Specs:

	A. 3.6 gHz six-core CPU and up
	B. 8GB RAM
	C. AMD RX-6400 or equivalent and higher
	D. SSD drive (to speed up loading and save times)

2. CC REQUIREMENTS
==========================================================

NEEDED:

Riverview, a free world available from the official Sims 3 store, located here: https://store.thesims3.com/riverview.html

OPTIONAL:

Peak Waves Beach, a lot in the seaside district, has the Surf’s Up Sun & Fun Wave Station from The Sims 3 store. You don't need it to play San Marina, but it comes highly recommended, as it adds to the ambience of the town. URL: https://store.thesims3.com/productDetail.html?productId=OFB-SIM3:68066

3. EPS NEEDED
==========================================================
The following are required, as most of the world is built using these EPs. They are rated from most (****) to least (*) important.

	A. Showtime ****
	B. Late Night ****
	C. University ****
	D. Island Paradise ****
	E. Seasons ****
	F. Ambitions ***
	G. World Adventures ***
	H. Pets ***
	I. Generations **

You can probably go without Generations, but some lots will look bare/undecorated and some sims will look different than intended.

4. OPTIONAL SPs
==========================================================
	Fast Lane. Not required at all; you'll just be missing scooters and motorcycles from various households.

5. SUGGESTED GAMEPLAY
==========================================================
Here are some suggestions to make the most out of San Marina's lore and setting:

	A. As San Marina is based on a California-style city, turn off snow in weather settings, or just don't have winter at all. It'll still get cold and have frost on the ground.
	B. San Marina looks amazing in the rain, so you'll definitely want to have this weather setting on.
	C. There are duplicate rabbit holes to fill out the town. Feel free to demolish and put up anything that you like, especially University RHs.
	D. There are bios! Learn more about many of the residents of San Marina and their relationships with each other.
	E. If you're worried about playing legacies, try playing San Marina as a vacation world, using NRAAS Traveler mod.
	F. The lake has three houseboats, but you can add as many houseboats as you'd like, even though there are only three ports. Just have one of the boats abandon port, then add a new houseboat. Wash, rinse, repeat.
	G. Hire a butler and/or maid for the hotels and B&Bs (bread and breakfasts) in the beach district. If you hire a butler, all you have to do to make room is convert one of the single bedrooms into a double.
	H. The Down and Out household is a homeless challenge! I don't have any rules, so make up your own.
	I. In the glitzy venues (like White Champagne and The Deco), feel free to add casino machines on one of the levels if you have those from the Sims 3 store.
	J. If you have Overwatch, you might want to turn off the settings that purges vehicles every night. The reason is that San Marina's roads will look busier with this setting switched off. Another reason is that this feature will cause the Sim Swarm Bug and result in empty venues (see "Potential Issues" section).

You can, of course, turn it back on from time to time to keep vehicle spawning from getting out of hand as too many cars can lag and crash your game. But remember to turn it back on, or you'll have both the Sim Swarm Bug and empty venues again.

6. POTENTIAL ISSUES
==========================================================

ASK TO LEAVE INTERACTION
This is not a bug, but a very clever game mechanic the devs coded for apartment buildings. On the hotel-style lots ("Hotel Paramour", "Elton Hotel", "Gemini Hotel", Carrington, Marrakesh Express, ETC.), you won't be able to ask guests to leave unless they are in a sim's bedroom. It makes sense because even though your guest is there to see your sim, they are visiting them at a hotel and so can't be asked to leave if they are in a public hallway, communal lounge or bathroom. So, do not panic if you can't find the "Ask to Leave" option for a guest. Invite them to a sim's bedroom or if you don't have the patience, use the resetsim cheat.

EMPTY VENUES AND SIM SWARM BUG DUE TO OVERWATCH VEHICLE PURGE
Because of the ratio of sims to venues, you should have filled up venues. However, I have found that if you use Overwatch with the "Clean Up Vehicles" settings to false, you'll have sims stranded at various community lots. The reason is that nightly purges of vehicles causes sims that had been on lots to be stranded. You then get the infamous "sim swarm" bug, where tons of sims keep appearing at a lot and not seeming able to leave. Resetting the town doesn't work, because the problem repeats itself.

To see whether you have a sim swarm happening, check all of your community lots, especially rabbit hole restaurants. If you see a large group of sims huddled together just standing or sitting there like zombies (not interacting or doing much of anything), this is a sim swarm. You'll know because usually, sims will start leaving as soon as you move your camera to the lot.

SIMULATION LAG
Simulation lag is when your world starts to become a ghost town (no cars or taxis on the road), and you see a lot of sims standing around looking lifeless on lots. This can happen if your computer's specs are too low, if they're higher than your machine can handle or if you have too much going on in-game and on your system. San Marina will be prone because of how large it is. If you notice simulation lag, reduce graphics settings and don't have anything else running while playing the game. Clearing your caches periodically also helps.

LONGISH SAVE TIMES
Because San Marina is so large, the first saves will be a bit on the long side. That's especially if you have Story Progression on. My suggestion is to save as soon as you open your first family, then save every 2-3 sim days. If you notice tons of sims populating the world via Story Progression, evict.

Save times will be especially long if you switch multiple households in one game session, so if you are a heavy rotational player, always save with current family before switching.

To avoid losing progress over the long haul, save San Marina using the numerical method (San Marina 1, San Marina 2, San Marina 3, etc.).

Also, clear your cache files on a regular basis!

STUCK SIMS ON BRIDGE
Sims will occasionally get stuck on the main bridge spanning the lake. There's nothing much I can do about this right now because this is a bug that came with Pets and Island Paradise and is hit and miss in terms of solving. There might be a fix in the future but I can't make guarantees.

WEIRD ROUTING
Because of Island Paradise, routing will be wonky when it comes to fishing in open areas in and around the lake and along the shore. There's an issue of sims refusing to fish near fish spawners in some spots and instead fishing from clear across the lake or very far away. Another issue are sims wanting to play in the ocean. They may or may not be able to access some areas, so if you see them stamping their feet randomly with the "swim in ocean" action queued, that's why.

BEACH BROS ROUTING
The Beach Bros household (the group of guys who live at The Carrington, the bright blue house on the beach) will not be able to travel by car or taxi to The Rose Bowl bowling alley or diner next to it. They can only travel by subway. In a future update, this issue might be fixed but I can't make any guarantees.

POPULATION SURGE
Even though San Marina is heavily populated, the game insists on adding tons of more sims via Story Progression. If you have NRAAS mods installed, keep an eye on the population count, as I've seen it get as high as 500!

SHOWTIME FREE WILL BUG
Sometimes a showbiz sim (acrobat, magician, singer) will suddenly stop having free will. Here's how you know there's an issue: you see a sim that is supposed to perform at a venue standing near a stage, but not moving or reacting to anything, and using the "resetsim" cheat does absolutely nothing to bring their free will back. To fix the free will issue, evict household, save the lot to bin, replace the lot and move sim back in.

SHOWTIME SOUND BUG

-Sometimes a showbiz sim (acrobat, magician, singer) will have a corrupt outfit, which will kill sound. If this happens with your sim, add a second career outfit.
-Sometimes, if a SimFest overlaps with a gig, sound will go out. However, once the SimFest and gig end, sound should return.
-For whatever reason, premade Showtime "big/live" venues (Hoi Polloi, Brotherhood of Fine Fellows and Binder Clips Center) will glitch, creating a bug. In this case, bulldoze, take a fresh copy of the venue from Starlight Shores and replace. If worse comes to worse, you might just have to go without these venues but that's for the worst case scenario.

BIKE BELL BUG
This is an age old bug that was never patched. If sound goes out because of this issue, get rid of any bikes you may have given any sims in town.

7. DISCLAIMER
==========================================================

San Marina is such a large world because I wanted to test the limits of Create a World. So, it's basically an experiment. If you have less than a mid-range computer loaded with gigabytes of mods, tons of store content and all EPs and SPs installed, play at your own risk!
