#########################################################

This is the third version of Pottersville, a Sims 3 world created by ts1depot.

WHAT'S NEW [2.1]:

This new release should fix whatever hiccups some players had with crashes or saving the world. So, if the world kept crashing or hanging during saves, you might want to try this version. Remember, this is a large world requiring at least 4GB, dedicated GPU and a quadcore computer so if your machine didn't meet the minimum, you would be better off downloading 2.1 Lite.

PREVIOUS RELEASE NOTES [2.0]:

	1. Swapped out two rabbitholes to remove conflicts.
	2. Two houses, which had been accidentally left incomplete, were finished.
	3. Removed a gobo light from Los Suenos, because it was blocking sims from playing pool.
	4. Removed two buildings in downtown area, reducing lot count from 195 to 193 and making the transition from downtown to the Binder Clips Center look better.
	5. Added in some terrain painting, rocks and swamp rushes to industrial areas, to make them look more run down and neglected.
	6. The Holbrooks now live in the red house with striped awnings, across the street from the Pulliams.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!!

Before you play Pottersville, please do the following:

	1. Delete your cache files (CASPartCache.package, CompositorCache.package, SocialCache.package, ScriptCache.package, SimCompositorCache.package)
	2. Delete all of the files in the DCBackup folder =EXCEPT= ccmerged.package (keep this file).

1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
==========================================================

Pottersville 2.1 is a very large world (193 lots) that depends the most on the two memory hogging EPs, Showtime and Late Night. Because of this, it's only recommended for high end systems. I have had this world run successfully on 8GB RAM, 3.6 gHz AMD quadcore with an Nvidia 1030 GT, so those would be the minimum specs.

2. EPS-ABSOLUTELY NEEDED
==========================================================

Showtime, Late Night, Seasons and Ambitions are definitely required, as most of the world is built using these EPs.

3. EPS-GOOD TO HAVE
==========================================================

World Adventures and Generations aren't necessary for Pottersville to function, but sims will look very different from intended and interiors weird or look bare without decorative objects.

4. OPTIONAL EPS
==========================================================

Pets isn't really needed, as there are only two households with pets. Island Paradise isn't really needed but without it, routing might be a little strange around bridges and shorelines.

5. CC REQUIREMENTS
==========================================================

Only Riverview, a free world available from the official Sims 3 store, and located here: https://store.thesims3.com/riverview.html

6. POTENTIAL ISSUES
==========================================================

a. For some reason, when you first save Pottersville, the save time might run a little longer than usual. If that happens in your case, wait the save out. If the world saves successfully, the save times will be short afterwards.

b. There might be some micro stuttering as Story Progression generates new sims or events play out in the world (alien visits, fire, death, etc.).

c. Showtime Free Will Bug: Sometimes, a showbiz sim (acrobat, magician, singer) will suddenly stop having free will. Here's how you know there's an issue: you see a sim that is supposed to perform at a venue standing near a stage, but not moving or reacting to anything, and using the "resetsim" cheat does absolutely nothing to bring their free will back.

-To fix the free will issue, evict sim from household, save the lot to bin, replace the lot and move sim back in.

d. Showtime Sound Bug:

-Sometimes a showbiz sim (acrobat, magician, singer) will have a corrupt outfit, which will kill sound. If this happens with your sim, add a second career outfit.
-Sometimes, if a SimFest overlaps with a gig, sound will go out. However, once the SimFest and gig end, sound should return.
-For whatever reason, premade Showtime "big/live" venues (Hoi Polloi, Brotherhood of Fine Fellows and Binder Clips Center) will glitch, creating a bug. In this case, bulldoze, take a fresh copy of the venue from Starlight Shores and replace. If worse comes to worse, you might just have to go without these venues.

e. Bike Bell Bug: This is an age old bug that was never patched. If sound goes out, get rid of any bikes you may have given any sims in town.

7. DISCLAIMER
==========================================================

Do not, under any circumstances, archive, reshare or resell this file.

8. THANKS
==========================================================

Pottersville was a very difficult WIP for me, both technically and personally. This is a special shout out to everyone at Mod The Sims for helping me out, as well as anyone who's been waiting patiently for Pottersville to be released.

Although maintaining TheSimsDepot.com and creating content for The Sims is a labor of love, it takes a lot of time, effort and money to host the website. Ad revenue has dried up, so if you'd like to donate, just---> paypal.me/ts1depot.
