Tragic Clown

ARGH! What’s with the Tragic Clown? Where did he come from? How do I get rid of him?!

The Tragic Clown is an NPC that appears when the mood levels of a family are too low. He then entertains (and by “entertain” I mean, “thoroughly depresses”) your Sims, making it that much harder for you to cheer them up. You brought him about by putting that awful Tragic Clown painting on the wall while you were first decorating your house. To get rid of him, you have to either burn down his painting or call the Clown Catchers for $500. If you don’t want him to reappear, avoid putting the painting up again.

Military School

OMG! My kid was just sent to military school and disappeared from my game. Why?! And how do I get him back?

Your kid was sent to military school because he flunked school. Unless you quit the game without saving when it happened, you have lost the child forever. (Sorry.) If you want to avoid this happening in the future, make sure that your kid always makes it to the school bus on time, wakes up in a good mood, and studies every once in awhile. Otherwise, it’s off to military school he or she goes!

Social worker

Oh, no! A mean woman came in and took my baby! Why? Who is she, why did she come and can I get my baby back?

The mean woman is the social worker. If you don’t take good care of your sim baby, she will come and take him or her away. And no, sorry–once your baby is gone, it’s gone. If you want to keep this from happening again, make sure that you play and feed your sim baby as much as possible, and allow it to get enough sleep.

Guinea Pig Disease

Help! I think my sim is dying! He’s coughing and sneezing and his comfort and energy has gone way down!

Uh oh. It looks like your sim has caught the dreaded Guinea Pig Disease. Yes, that’s right–that cute, adorable guinea pig you just bought has infected him in the worst way. If you don’t treat him in time, he will die. To treat the disease, either hang up the Forgotten Guinea Pig painting on the wall or get the sick sim to drink a glass of white potion made from the Concoctanation Station chemistry set. Also, try to get his energy and comfort levels up as much as possible.

Montezuma’s Revenge

Help! My sim’s bladder motives way down ever since he came home from vacation! What’s going on?

Your sim caught food poisoning while vacationing. This can happen if a sim eats while his hygiene is real low. Luckily, the illness isn’t fatal and goes away after awhile, just like in real life.
